I'm Adam Knapp, and welcome to my world of photography! I am based in West Michigan and specialize in portrait and family photography. I am married to the love of my life, and bonus dad to 3 spectacular teens and a sad labradoodle.
Several years ago, I learned the name of a condition (it's actually more of an experience) that I've always had: Aphantasia. It means I cannot form mental images in my mind's eye. Like, literally nothing. Zero. Nada. Blackness. Photography is my way of imprinting the visual world in my memory.
I love capturing the world as it is. That includes you — who you are in the instant the shutter clicks open — your authentic self.
Being photographed is a vulnerable experience. I specialize in creating moments where you can relax and forget you're even in front of a lens. We'll walk, we'll talk, and we'll let the moments unfold naturally. My goal is to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience, allowing your true personality to shine through. I believe the best photographs are created when you feel comfortable and can be yourself.

Do you travel for photoshoots?
Of course! I'm willing to travel anywhere within Michigan (for now). Anything beyond 35 miles outside of Hastings, MI will be subject to my travel fee.
What should we wear for our session?
We'll determine a location and color palette that aligns with the mood and vibe you're seeking.
How long does it take to get our photos?
Every session is different, but expect a sneak peek to your gallery within 48 hours of your shoot. Your full gallery will be ready between 3-5 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of your experience.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Right now, everything is offered as a digital album that you can download and order prints for yourself. I hope to offer prints and other products in the future, so stay tuned!
